The owner asked us to bring the boat back to its original splendor.
Once the wrapping was removed and the surface prepared, the hull was repainted with a dark blue similar to the original one used by the French boatyard; the two mahogany covers were sanded, reinforced and repainted.
The carbon mast was stripped of its old, now damaged paint and repainted to bring it back to like-new condition.
To finish, we worked on the teak deck: the wood, now at the end of its life, was removed, the walkways were faired to achieve a uniform surface, and a synthetic teak covering was applied.
The new owner, in love with the lines drawn by Chuck Paine, decided to fully restore this beautiful boat.
In addition to repainting the deck and topsides, he also decided to remove the teak from the deck in favor of a spray-applied non-slip finish.
New portholes, new hatches and new dorade vents create a fantastic combination between the steel, the colors chosen for the paintwork and the teak of the caprail and the handrails.
The mast was sandblasted and painted white, the same color used for the deck.
The inspection of the systems led the owner to request new tanks, new electronic instruments and a rewiring of the electrical system.
Small touch-ups to the interior joinery and the supply of new upholstery completed the work, which gave freshness and new life to this beautiful 34-footer.
The owner wanted to give new life to his "Tangaloa" and with this refit we worked on every front:
-New mast, upgrade of the deck rigging and the on-board instruments.
-Hull and deck painting and a new teak deck.
-Electrical system upgrade with a lithium system.
-Study of the interior with related modifications to optimize the spaces of the chart table and galley area.
-Design, development and construction of the folding stern bathing platform with a liferaft compartment and a new system with electric davits.
-Restoration of the structure of the entire floor-timber area, with removal and reinstallation of the keel bulb and replacement of the rudder.
